January sees the relaunch of Ultrasoundpaedia. 100s of new images, videos and links.

How did we get here?

After years of frustrating research to support our diagnoses and case studies, and fruitlessly seeking all manner of ultrasound information, we began talking about how nice it would be if there was a single place to go that could give you the needed information, or direct you to it.

In these conceptual discussions 4 years ago we wanted to open our case libraries and experience to others, particularly those who dont have ready access to education. A website seemed the logical choice. That meant learning web design. As full time health care workers with families, this was a slow process. 2 yrs later we launched ultrasoundpaedia.com.

We were very proud of our efforts and the reception has been fantastic. We regularly receive ultrasound images, stories and testimonials that inspire us.

The site has grown to an extent that our small team of volunteers can no longer maintain the site to the level we aspire to. We were faced with 2 choices: loading the site with advertising which would compromise the speed, efficiency and integrity of ultrasoundpaedia, or asking for a small subscription fee for part of the site. We opted for the later. That way, we will still provide free access to all normal images and the 'how-to' guides enabling health providers in areas of need, rapidly available, quality training.

The facelift has also enabled us to streamline the site for faster page-loading, secure user interfaces and it is adaptive for mobile devices.

Our small dedicated team at ultrasoundpaedia sincerely hope our facelift meets with your approval and we look forward to an exciting future of ultrasound with you.
